Reflective Essay # 2

Reflective Essay

No one can deny that the stereotype, prejudice and discrimination are playing the vital rules in our life and we cannot imagine function without them. This essay will explain and discuss the meaning and examples of these three things.

Firstly, stereotype is a thought that may be accept and thought for each one may also port unique aspects that may complement or contradict the others. For example, now days some people says that people from the other countries are going to celebrate the Eid in UAE especially the city of Dubai. Due to this, some people believe that Dubai will be busy and the Emirate people will not be relaxing when they go there. This couldn’t be 100 percent true.

When Stereotype improves and sticks to our minds it defines as prejudice. There are a lot of examples of prejudice around as such as ableism , ageism , classism  and Racism. Ableism is prejudice against the disables. People treat them as they are from another world and they decline to offer them jobs. Next is ageism, ageism is defined as dealing with people depending in their ages. As an example, old people can’t work after the retirement age. In addition to ableism and ageism there is classism. Classism is treating people depending on their class. For instance, people who are “high class’’ are being served faster and in a better way in some restaurants. Lastly is racism, racism is dealing with people stating on their skin’s color. When Black people sit in the back and whites in the front, this demonstrates a clear example of the racism.

Finally are discriminations. Discrimination is an action based on prejudice and stereotype. For example, Sexism is when the males think that women are driving badly. Moreover, Religious bigotry such as two people from different religions has a racist conversation because of their religions or believes.

In conclusion, from what has been mention above that we can see that the stereotype , prejudice and discrimination have a negative and positive reaction. So, I believe that if they stop rolling of this idea it may have a good effect in our life.
